WELL WE DID IT! WHAT NOW?
Lots of people are still excited about what they did and want more. If you went to film making, script writing, rags to riches, writing course, painting or making sellotape sculptures etc, ask for more! Many organizers will be able to put on more events even if they have to charge you a small fee. If you went to any of the activities at the libraries, watch out for more events – and make sure you tell then what you enjoyed and what you would like.

Why are we doing this?
We’re funding loads of fun activities, but with a serious purpose… we believe in the benefits of learning!
Learning brings people together and has the power to transform people’s lives. Learning is for people of every age – giving kids the best start in life and helping older people stay active and independent. It helps build confidence. It helps build communities. It keeps us healthy. It can help you gain the skills to find a job; or a more fulfilling one – or even a better paid one! The benefits are endless!
But we know that lots of people don’t see themselves as learners. Maybe you didn’t get on at school or don’t fancy going back to the classroom. Maybe you haven’t got time to do a course; can’t afford it or think learning is boring. We want to challenge these ideas. We know learning doesn’t have to be in a classroom. It can be for people of all ages, and for all interests. It can be ‘bite sized’, fun and free!
Have a look through the list and pick something that takes your fancy! And while you’re there… tell us if you love learning and you’d like to do more. If there’s something different you’d like to do next, tell us that too and we’ll see what we can do. You might even win some learning, or a laptop to help you on your way!
